Problem: The U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) is viewed as a concept rather than a program, and consequently receives guidance, not strict or concrete guidelines, from SOCOM. This lack of structure has lead to heavy emphasis on the Physical/Human Performance pillar, outweighing the Social, Cognitive, and Spiritual pillars.

Action: Conducting 50+ beneficiary interviews within and beyond the POTFF framework to better understand USSOCOM’s unique culture and operator needs while developing an iterative minimum viable product.

Result: A white paper proposing several recommendations spanning organizational structure, metrics, and strategic guidance that our team feels may serve as a starting point for enhancing POTFF’s capacity to carry out its vital mission.
